Missing teeth can cause an array of problems deeper than just the aesthetics of a beautiful smile. You may find it difficult to eat or speak and may shy away from photos with loved ones due to gaps in your smile. While we know this can have an impact on your self-esteem and self-consciousness, you can rest assured that you’re not alone! Dr. Daniel Domagala creates full and partial dentures to restore your smile in just one visit. With dentures being a more traditional way to restore a beautiful smile, they are a far cry from your grandmother’s false teeth! Significant strides have been made in the last few decades when it comes to denture material and techniques, making them comfortable with modern adjustment
Not surprisingly, studies have shown prosthesis quality has a significant impact on patient satisfaction. Just like any other modern dental restoration, all dentures aren’t created equal as they are customized and tailored to meet your smile needs and aren’t just any old set of false teeth. Dr. Domagala offers high-quality complete and partial dentures in Chicago, IL and Milwaukee, WI that are built utilizing our latest technologies and advancements. If you’re considering full or partial dentures to fill the gap in your dental concerns, let Major Dental Clinics help you create the beautiful, functional smile you deserve!
We know not every smile or dental concern is the same and shouldn’t be treated as such. The type of denture we recommend is based on the extent of your tooth loss, condition of your remaining teeth, unique smile goals and budget. We also offer advanced dental options of implant supported dentures which can be fabricated as a removable or fixed prosthesis for greater stability and function. If you’re looking for an affordable denture near you, Dr. Domagala and our knowledgeable team is dedicated to delivering the most optimal solutions to restoring your oral health and smile aesthetics. Depending on your unique dental situation, we would recommend one of our highly customized denture treatments:
Whether you’ve lost one tooth or many, chewing and smiling can become more difficult because of the gaps in your smile. Partial dentures are a customized and economical solution to replace missing teeth, fill in the spaces, improve chewing ability and restore your confidence to smile. This removable prosthesis fills empty spaces and prevents remaining teeth from shifting. It’s made of a metal and pink plastic or resin framework that replicates gum tissue and plastic or resin false teeth. The base of the upper denture covers the roof of your mouth, while the base of the lower denture is shaped like a horseshoe to accommodate your tongue. We can customize this option further with an overdenture – a removable denture that fits over a small number of remaining natural teeth or implants. While our partial dentures are a great option for patients missing teeth, they do require the help of natural teeth to provide adequate stability and support for the partial denture.
If you have lost most or all of your teeth, a complete denture may just be the solution you’re looking for to replace all teeth in your upper jaw, lower jaw, or both. A complete denture consists of a thin gum-colored acrylic base that rests on the gum tissue. Porcelain or acrylic replacement teeth built into the base give the appearance of natural teeth. For traditional dentures, you will complete a full oral exam with Dr. Domagala and extract any unhealthy teeth. Once your gums have healed, we will take impressions and precise measurements of your mouth. If you qualify for immediate dentures, these can be inserted right after remaining teeth have been extracted. While an immediate installation of complete dentures has obvious benefits of enjoying your healthy new smile right away, your bone and gum tissue can begin to shrink after the extraction and during the healing process.
While slightly more costly than traditional dentures, implant supported dentures offer many benefits when choosing a full mouth restoration. But if you’re looking for a replacement that won’t slip, loosen or fall out, implant supported dentures are a great, cost-effective solution that offer greater stability for eating and eliminates the need for adhesive. These implant supported dentures assume the function of your missing natural tooth by being inserted into the jawbone and serving as a tooth root to help preserve your jawbone and stimulate new growth. These implant supported dentures can be customized as removable or fixed.
At Major Dental Clinics, delivering complete and partial dentures personalized to your oral health needs and smile goals is our top priority. Providing natural-looking dentures that don’t look like false teeth and fit perfectly is Dr. Domagala’s goal with each patient he sees. Upon completing an oral examination and tooth extraction if needed, Dr. Domagala will take measurements and digital impressions of your mouth once your gums have completely healed. Next, a wax bite is created to establish accurate vertical dimensions and proper jaw position. Once that is completed, you will receive a physical “try-in” to help determine color, shape and fit of your final dentures.
