Job Description

Our state-of-the-art upscale clinic in Downtown Milwaukee is seeking a responsible and patient oriented team member. . This position is responsible for patient satisfaction from greeting the patient as they enter the clinic for the first time, setting up appointments from the first clinical visit to final delivery and follow up, and communication to the clinical and administrative team of all daily schedules. Top notch customer service is expected from this position as they are the first point of contact when a patient walks in our offices. So, if you are compassionate, friendly, professional and passionate about helping others and possess great communication skills we would love to hear from you! Position is for Monday - Wednesday 9-5 with flexibility to stay longer or arrive earlier. Parking is provided.

Job Requirement

    Responsibilities:
    • Patient scheduling
    • Create a welcoming environment that puts patients at ease and introduces them to our office that offers a world class experience.
    • Be present during consultations
    • Present treatment plans to patients and follow up to close cases
    • Work with the clinical staff to schedule patients and ensure that the center’s work flows efficiently
    • Coordinate with labs to ensure case completion prior to a patient appointment
    • Answer incoming calls
    • Ensure that all subsequent visits are phased
    • Ensures that treatment plan is accurately entered in computer
    • Confirm all appointments with patients 48 hours prior to their next visit
    • Tracking new patients and new patient retention
    Qualifications:
    • Ability to be cross-trained and function with multiple responsibilities
    • Ability to work in a stressful environment and maintain a pleasant demeanor
    • Advanced oral and written communication skills
    • Dental knowledge beneficial, but willing to train the right person
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Self starter and multi-tasking skills
    • Must be a team player
    • Flexibility and job-sharing required
    • Commitment to providing excellent customer service
    • Professional dress and appearance required
    • Basic computer skills and knowledge of software including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Google email
    • High School Diploma minimum

Job Requirement

    Responsibilities
    • Welcome customers in the dental office
    • Prepare customers for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfort
    • Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed
    • Sterilize instruments according to regulations
    • Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry
    • Undertake lab tasks as instructed
    • Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
    • Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked
    • Schedule appointments
    • Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures
    Requirements
    • Proven experience as dental assistant
    • Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
    • Understanding of health & safety regulations
    • Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks like coronal polishing is a plus
    • Good computer skills
    • Excellent communication and people skills
    • Attention to detail
    • Well-organized and reliable
    • High school diploma; graduating from dental assistant school is preferred
    • Additional training is an asset
